PETA - Whose Skin Are You In?

Image: PETA

Laura Vandervoort, actress of Smallville and V, amongst others - is the star of a new PETA campaign urging consumers to leave wildlife out of their wardropes. The beautiful actress unveiled her “Whose Skin Are You In?” ad by painting her body to look like reptile skin, hoping to encourage consumers to cross all exotic-animal clothes, shoes, accessories, etc… off their shopping lists and as an alternative stick to mock croc and fake snake.

In an exclusive PETA interview, Laura says: "Three or four alligators have to die for one purse… They nail the snake’s head to a tree while it is still alive and peel its skin off. Because they are cold-blooded creatures, they take that much longer to die, so they suffer that much longer… Everyone should keep in mind what it is they are buying and if it is really worth it to them.” Watch her interview to find out what inspired Laura to participate in this campaign.

Animals are helpless against humans and humans tend to take advantage of this… it hurts me immensely when I think about how some poor animal is being tortured, abused or killed... so please, have some compassion for animals!

It's a worthy cause, but I think she looks gorgeous in that, no matter it's a paint, wonderful colors.
By the way, artificial skin and fur is much better than real- no need for dead animals- we have a tech to substitute that.
