We MUST ACT NOW to save up to 40 dogs from certain death in a small community in northern Canada. IFAW's Northern Dogs Project team was in the remote community last week providing much-needed free veterinary care and humane education when some concerned community members alerted them that a cruel dog-shoot was being planned: Any dogs not tied up will be rounded up, and then shot dead.
These dogs are not sick or injured - their only crime is that they grew up: as puppies they were irresistible... now as adults, they're unwanted and left to fend for themselves.
