Believe it or not, but it´s true! The video that you are about to see is of a cat playing the piano. This beautiful grey cat called Nora was rescued from a shelter in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. When a year old, Nora surprised her owners at their home in Philadelphia when she climbed up onto a bench in front of a Yamaha Disklavier piano in the middle of the night and started to play. Since then, Nora continued to play piano on a daily basis. Nora plays alone and even enjoys playing duets with her owner and her owner’s students.
Nora became famous since the creation of a You Tube video in 2007, which was encouraged by the students. It was featured on many talk shows, newspapers and news channels. Nora has even attracted the interest of both musicians and scientists, who are completely fascinated by her behavior.
